The environmental policy is the explicit declaration by the Management, of the intentions and principles that it intends to actuate,
consistent with the activity and the characteristics of the organization, in terms of the overall environmental performance.
In summary, the ONI prepares and implements an environmental management program, in relation to the relevant regulations and legislation
that aims to identify, prevent and eventually eliminate sources of pollution arising from the company activity and from potential and/or accidental
incidents at work. The Management also undertakes to make available to the public its environmental policy and raise awareness of the staff.
In this perspective is carried out continuous monitoring on the environment aimed at testing the impact to the surrounding environment.
These checks will lead to the creation of a system of actions for continuous improvement, through the search for technological solutions
and economically innovative considering the past experiences and the experiences of similar companies.
The ONI according to the its activity defines its environmental objectives focusing on the following types of impact in order to monitor and then quantify the environmental impact:
• soil pollution
• management of waste oils
• awareness activities
• visual impact
The Management, in order to ensure that the Environmental Policy is implemented and supported properly and on schedule, it shall adopt working procedures aimed at:
• spread to all levels of the organization the proper use of water and energy supplies;
• spread to all levels of the proper use of the equipment;
• provide objective documentation of how the company performs in environmental issues;
• comply with the regulations in terms of environmental and health protection of workers and the community;
• reviewing the entire process in the event of significant changes.
The Management also undertakes to disseminate its environmental policy with suppliers and/or customers through the transmission of the appropriate documentation. The awareness and the education of its personnel is implemented, however, through appropriate training / information and the dissemination of information materials.
From the legislative point of view, the Company prepares appropriate documentation, to which will be attached the certifications and authorizations required by law for the performance of their productive activity.
The objectives that the Company arises, however, are closely related and subordinate to the following conditions:
• Technical and economic feasibility
• technological changes
• design of new products
• Process changes
• timing of implementation.
